Editorial Policy

Our goal is simple: every time on WhatTimeIsThe should be correct, current and easy to read. This policy explains how the WTIT Time Desk researches, writes and corrects pages.

Sources

  • Start times come from official sources only: leagues, organizers, venues and broadcasters.
  • We do not copy times from other time-listing websites.
  • When sources disagree, the organizer’s official schedule wins.
  • If a time is not confirmed, we say “not announced yet” instead of guessing. Estimated times, such as halftime or end of game, are clearly marked.

Time Zones

Eastern Time (ET) is listed first, followed by other US and Canadian zones and the countries where the event has a real audience. We recheck conversions around daylight saving changes in North America, Europe and the Southern Hemisphere.

Updates and Corrections

We update a page the same day a time, date, venue or broadcaster changes. Every page shows a “Last updated” date. To report an error, email info.whattimeisthe@gmail.com with the page link and the official source.

Automation and AI

Some schedule data, such as game times, is loaded automatically from licensed sports data feeds. We also use AI tools to help draft and format pages. An editor reviews the facts before publishing, and the WTIT Time Desk is responsible for everything on the site.

Independence

WhatTimeIsThe is independent. We are not paid by leagues, teams or broadcasters to cover events, and advertising never changes the information on a page. We do not publish betting tips or links to unofficial streams.
